Kickboxing is a group of stand up combat sports (full contact striking). It is based on Kicking and Punching, it was developed from Traditional & Sport Karate, Western Boxing and Muay Thai.
Japanese kickboxing was originated in the 1960s and American kickboxing was originated in the 1970s . It became famous in September 1974.
Kickboxing as an athletic workout includes shadow boxing, kicking and heavy bag work complemented by strengthening and conditioning drills.

- a) Amateur Kickboxing
An athlete who has never participated at Professional level and who is at the beginning level of his/her learning. player wears head guard , shin guards and gloves made with cushion. Some of the skills taught within the style are not included in the sparring element of the syllabus for health and safety reasons
- b) Professional Kickboxing
