Mixed Martial Arts-MMA which is a combination of
Striking ( Karate, Boxing, Kickboxing , Taekwondo, etc ) are trained to improve footwork, elbowing, kicking, kneeing and punching.
Clinch ( Wrestling, Sambo, Judo, etc) are trained to improve clinching, takedowns & throws and
Ground Games (Grappling, Brazilian Jiu Jiutsu – BJJ, Judo, etc ) are trained to improve submission holds, and defense against them on Ground.
- a) Amateur MMA
Amateur MMA is for a newcomer who is still very new in his/her career as a mixed martial artist. There are some prescribed rules and regulations with safety measures regarding Amateur Fights. The rules are different for amateurs than they are professionals due to the fact that as an amateur it is considered that a fighter is still learning. Elbow & knee Strikes are not allowed in Amateur MMA Championship. Amateur fighter wears shin guards and Gloves.
- b) Professional MMA
Professional MMA is for a experienced fighter who has fought many Amateur MMA Championships .There are less rules & regulations. Elbow & Knee strikes are allowed and Professional fighter wears gloves.
